I just wanted to bring to your attention the outstanding work Datatech Depot Inc. continues to provide. They have proven time and time again their ability to be a value added "partner" with Kodak. Here's just a few more accolades the DTDI and Kodak teams deserve. Another prime example of what team work can accomplish.

Repair Analysis Support:

  • DTDI has consistently been pro-active to alert the Kodak Teams when a problem arises within the repair process. As recently as this past week they encountered a FW issue when upgrading the ESP 5250. They were able to support the failure analysis at Kodak by suppling failed units to service engineering at Canal Ponds.  Holding units and disrupting their process flow was essential while the resolution to this issue was being processed through service engineering. While Kodak was continuing to isolate the problem DTDI took the initiative to pursue a resolution on their own that could be placed in the process to minimize the repair process interruptions and still accomplish FW updates. Their hard work resulted in a minor manual step function increase in their process. Not being content with that accomplishment they are going to take it a step up and automate the proposed process change. That  process was a presented today to the service engineering team and approved to implement as of today until a more permanent solution can be provided by Kodak.
  • In one of our conference calls it was suggested that images, pictures or videos, could assist engineering in their analysis when a particular failure occurs on the repair technician's bench. Kodak supplied a Pocket Video Camera to capture the images and DTDI supplied a web access interface to view technician's reported failures and the captured images. This was a very positive step in assisting the service engineering staff with their corrective action analysis.
